http://live.pirillo.com/ – VoIP – Voice over Internet Protocol – is quickly becoming the popular method of bypassing the “local loop” telephone companies.

just plug your phone in the un activated landline, because by law a 911 call is placeable without service. SO internet goes down, electricity goes down and cell phone battery dies too? wow that’s your fault for not being on point. Also unless you live in bumfuckville go to your neighbors in an emergency or something, justifying a landline for “emergency” purposes is weak. k thumbs down me i know i know
I’ve been with “SpeakGreat” for a few weeks. I figure my cellphones cover emergencies for power outages.
I love all the custome calling features that come with VoIP service. I have “Distinctive Ringing” for key people. It even works if the Caller ID is blocked.
I have my home number simulanreaously ring my cellphone.
AT&T used to charge me $6 per month just to forward my calls to the cellphone after 2 rings.
Audio quality is a bit lower than the copper wire landline was, but it works.
such cute doggies…and lol phone services…
if you’d like to talk for $23.99 unlimted send me a message for more details.
vonage has a feature on their dashboard that allows you to use you cell number if the power or network goes out.
It will forward all your calls. It worked perfectly last week when our power went out.
umm a phone that is notin service (hooked up) (landline) should be on stand by and will connect 911 calls only. so you don’t need to pay for service on a landline..
Have you ever thought of getting your wife a youtube account and getting her to make a view vids about “CHRIS’S behind the cam” life lol
I use a 150 APC UPS for both the VOIP & my Cable
i use the land-line version. it can be used from any land-line phone from anywhere you are. no hidden fees/charges -prepaid.
i’ve used NET2PHONE for long distance for years
I dont use it, i dont like it
I’m very impressed and satisfied with Packet 8. Just redo your local phone wiring into the Packet 8 router. Great price, and free calls everywhere in the US.
As far as power outages are concerned, that’s what UPSes are for. And the cell phones.
